Residential master bedroom, Isle of Wight

October 2024

BRIEF

An Edwardian holiday home undergoing a complete renovation. The master bedroom was a large, dated, fairly blank space with a bed facing the fireplace and shallow wardrobes in the alcoves. Being on a hillside above the coastline, the windows had amazing views of the sea. The upstairs (3 bedrooms) shared one family bathroom.

  • Customer bought the house primarily for the sea views so my designs centred around repositioning the bed to face the windows with custom wardrobe units and dressing area behind

  • We reduced the bedroom depth by 90cm to allow for a new ensuite shower, toilet and a linen cupboard opening onto the landing area

  • The vibe was to feel luxurious and ‘boutique hotel’ suiting a holiday home location and usage

"The images Juliette created made such a difference. They helped me visualise the space clearly and were invaluable when talking things through with our head builder. He was genuinely impressed - both in understanding the ideas and seeing how they could work in practice, which made discussing the project far easier.
